Just keep in mind they are colored, these have a boosted but tasteful bass. They are not the most resolving headphones and have a mid-fi sound quality but they are fun. Hard to believe this kind of quality is available for such a low price-(in terms of audiophile dollars). When I compared it to the Drop x Sennheiser HD58X Jubilee, another headphone I like at the SV021’s price point, the HD58X did better with Microdynamics, meaning you could actually hear "into" the music better, but I liked the Macrodynamics on the Sivga headphone a little more. We listened to more songs than those named in this playlist, but those are excellent for identifying a sonic signature. PRaT, Texturization, Detail, Resolution, Dynamics, Impact, and overall tonality are all revealed by those songs. Fortunately, the Oriole weigh in at a mere 280g, as the faux-leather padding on the band and ear cups is fairly minimal and would not be sufficient for heavier cans. The headband is less comfortable than the comfort strap design included with the SV023 or Sivga offerings. Stage, etc: The Sivga robin has a nice wide soundstage. there is very good separation and accuracy, this makes it great for movies or games. Visually, these are eye candy. After all, these were my first impressions before I even had them in hand. Something I’d like to clear up straight away is that the design differs between the two available colors. The materials are exactly the same, the silhouette is exactly the same, but the finish of the wood differs (besides the obvious pleather color difference).To be honest, I’m highly disappointed with this release. Almost to the point where I’m hurt. Having such a great past experience with both SIVGA and its products, this feels like a major let down. As this headphone has something of a V-Shaped sound signature, the mids were more recessed than I usually like. As I said earlier, there is also a tad bit of edginess in the upper mids, but this flaw only became overly distracting when there was hardness coming from a budget DAC/Amp in the chain. Imaging within the width plane is pretty decent. I can easily pinpoint instruments from left to right.
