About this deal

I removed this on the grounds there is no ref, and it has been questioned. I'm not saying it's wrong, but could someone find a ref and cite it before you replace it? I appreciate you're cooperation in understanding these things, right or wrong, still need refs. Thanks. -- DanielCD 03:11, 24 March 2006 (UTC) In 2005, according to part 3 of Art. 301 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine ("import, manufacture, sale and distribution of pornographic items"), the organizer of the agency "Alex Model" faced a sentence of 3 to 7 years in prison. [12]

Operating predominantly in Kyiv with branches in cities like Kharkiv and Simferopol, the agency, named "Alex Model" ( Ukrainian: Алекс-Модел), was identified as one of the major producers and distributors of child pornographic content which was branded under several names throughout the world using "LS" abbreviature as LS-Models, LS-Magazine, LS-Girls, LS-Studio, LS-Island, LS-Land, LS-Dreams, LSMODELCLUB (LS Model Club). The leaders attracted minors with the prospect of modeling opportunities, only to involve them in illicit activities. [2] Blueboy (Global Media Group, U.S.: 1975 - 3 issues; July/August 1975–August/September 1977 - bimonthly; November 1977 – 2007 - monthly) Men (Specialty Media, U.S., monthly, October 1997 – November 2009), began as Advocate Men in June 1984 Is 14-year-old model too young to wear sheer clothing? The "new face" of fashion empire Christian Dior is causing controversy for appearing in sheer attire despite being only 14 years old. International supermodel Luciana Curtis talked with CBSN about her own experience as a teenager on the runway.

OK, I've been watching all this talk - are people trying to hold this article to a different, higher standard than other articles since it touches on the topic of child porn? I hope not. Bacci40: Neither photography nor videotaping is molestation. How is listing LS productions aiding and abetting? The "issue" at Wikipedia is documenting all human knowledge. Zebruh 16:08, 14 February 2006 (UTC) Came across this here, has a bunch of interesting info (although don't worry, no pictures there! lol). Might perhaps add this to the wiki article, such as the pay (10 to 40 dollars per hour, that sounds very very good to me if you are living in the former USSR!!)

The raids were conducted after a joint investigation between Ukrainian police and Interpol. Subsequently after initial raids, several other child pornography studios were closed in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Luhansk, and Lviv. [7] In 2005, the United States Department of State announced that there was further cooperation between Ukrainian police and other law enforcement agencies internationally. [7] Pornography studio operated out of Kharkiv under disguise of a children modeling agency]. rusawm.com (in Russian). 8 December 2004. Archived from the original on 10 January 2008 . Retrieved 5 February 2006.Unencyclopedic: I do not see anything at Wikipedia:What_Wikipedia_is_not which supports the claim that a list of productions is unencyclopedic. Really, the only thing the article gets right is the girls wore beautiful costumes and were photographed in and out of these clothes. From a culturally pertinent POV there was nothing indecent about the photos, and the only girls who simulated kissing and fondling were older and the behavior was entirely age appropriate (no matter how this might offend some, the fact remains 12, 13 and 14 year olds know about sex and are curious about it - and a great many are also quite sexually active). The models never display a notion of coercion. Their expressions are comfortable and relaxed. While clearly staged modeling, the striking aspect is the self esteem and natural desire to be attractive. To tell one of these girls that they were doing something wrong would be quite new information to them. And as perfectly as they are crowned, the proposition would be difficult to persuade them of. The Crime Investigation Department of the Ministry for the Interior conducted the raids. The deputy head of the department, Vitaly Yarema, said that the bank accounts of the agency, containing hundreds of thousands of dollars, had been frozen. [1] Profits of the agency amounted to millions of dollars. [8] The first police report for the agency was received by the Crimean police in 2004 from a resident of Simferopol. [8] Law enforcement started surveillance and collected information, and officers identified about 40 people involved in this case in one way or another.
