About this deal

I’d recommend using a separate Camera such as the 122 or 222 on the rear windscreen. You will need a separate power supply and SD card as it will not connect to your 312G, but can be used as a Camera facing rearwards. The prices are comparable with the Series 2 Rear Cams, and if you’d like to keep using your 312G, is the most viable option. AT 60FPS/720P AT 60FPS HD RECORDING AND 140° WIDE VIEWING ANGLE - The 322GW has been designed to provide high quality, detailed images of your journey on the road with the 1080p/30fps and 720p/60fps F1.6 lens. The 140° wide viewing angle ensures that a wide coverage of the road ahead will be recorded for fantastic footage. Tbh, I have my 402G hardwired into a permanent live circuit. I'm not sure whether or not this would help with battery life/reliability.

Please remember that after this test your Dash Cam will once again need charging as the battery will be flat. Nextbase describe it as a "dash cam solution for new or experienced motorists who want instant upload capabilities to social media, or their insurer. Market leading thanks to its connective capabilities and ease of use, this new dawn for dash cams simply reinforces Nextbase's position as the most popular dash cam brand in the UK". It boasts many features such as GPS logging, WiFi, Smartphone Apps, a 2.7" LCD screen, G-sensor and 1080p recording. If the Dash Cam does not appear as a drive on your PC, please press the reset button on the underside of your Dash Cfam and try all the USB ports on your computer. HD RECORDING AT 30FPS AND 140° WIDE VIEWING ANGLE - The 222X records in 1080p HD resolution at 30fps with a 6G lens to provide high quality images and footage for your journey on the road and for insurance claims. The 140° wide viewing angle ensures that a wide coverage of the road ahead will be recorded. On the dash cam's screen you'll see a menu of 3 options. Please select 'Mass Storage' on the Dash Cam screen and then OK so that only that displays on the screen.

Hello first post. I bought the Next base last week and it's my first dashcam. I charged it from a phone charger to set it up and the battery lasted 2 or 3 minutes which I found surprising. Also while charging it got quite warm. https://cdn.nextbase.com/nextbase-en-gb/2018/06/NBDVR312GW-iN-CAR-CAM-Firmware-Release-R6.4-Ver.-B-R06.9-including-Instructions.zip The Nextbase 222 is the next in the range. As far as features go, it is relatively similar with no WiFi or Bluetooth so you cannot connect it to your phone. It does, however, have upgraded specs as far as the hardware goes. The range has been simplified slightly from the previous generation which offered WiFi and non-WiFi versions of the camera. In series 2, every device from the 322 upwards has both WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth.

One of our favourite things about the series 2 dashcam range is that it’s really easy to understand. For every model you go up, from 122 through to 622, you’ll get more features or better specs. The internal hardware and software are where you’ll find the major differences as it’s the first in the series that features WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity, that’s where the GW comes from. This allows you to connect the 322GW to the MyNextbase Connect app and view your dashcam footage on your mobile phone. By comparison, the 222 dashcam requires you to take out the SD card and insert it into a laptop or PC. Below are links to step by step instructions about how to update the firmware on your Nextbase Dash Cam. The Firmware Update Guides contain instructions for both Windows users as well as Mac users.
