If you didn't see this coming then chances are you didn't know Charizard was in this set. Any time Charizard gets featured in a set it pretty much guarantees a top placement in terms of price, and since this one is a Shiny VMAX Charizard, you can guess it's a very heavy hitter. Hidden fates was by far the biggest waste of money. I’ve bought 20 elite trainer boxes in the past 3 months (not exaggerating) and every single one was garbage. Regarded by many to be the number 1 actual chase card of the set - the Shiny Ditto VMAX Pokemon card comes in at #8 on our list of the top 10 most expensive cards for Shining Fates. This card features the shiny Dynamax version of Ditto, a fan favorite ever since Gen 1. Yesterday was the release date of the newest Pokémon special expansion set, Shining Fates, a set that includes over 100 Shiny Pokémon inside of the special Shiny Vault subset within Shining Fates, which itself contains 73 cards.
Pikachu V from the Japanese Pika Pika! Pikachu! Promo Card Campaign, will be in the Shining Fates Pikachu V Box. As for the expansion set itself, it’s going to be a nightmare to collect them all. The Shining Fates set is essentially split in two: there’s the main set, which contains 73 individual cards, and then there’s a special subset inside called the Shiny Vault, which contains a total of 122 cards and is prefixed with “SV” in the card number (SV001–SV122). Just as Galarian Rapidash was featured earlier at #6 on this list, Galarian Ponyta makes an appearance at #4. If you are really fond of the design of the Generation 1 Ponyta then you might have trouble liking the Galarian design, since they completely revamped the color scheme and made Ponyta a Psychic type.Update: There is no official mention of this Special Set being a Pokémon 25th anniversary set. The real 25th Anniversary set will come in October 2021.
