Judy always has that talent to sunk you in with detailed scenes. For this book, she took it up a notch even more. And I adored it. And when I heard footsteps on the path outside my open balcony window the next night, I hurried down to help him before he could end up in the pond again.

Having their dual perspective allowed us to see the feelings they were not only hiding in regards to each other. But their thoughts when it came to them struggling with it, trying to figure how to handle it and ultimately what to do about it. Anyhow, I decided to read this book because I found out the cheating happened in the past and not in the present day. Still a hard pill to swallow, but I was curious to see how this story would pan out. After all, I do love a good second chance romance so I really wanted to go on this journey with these characters and see how they'd overcome this insurmountable obstacle. Vincent should be on top of the world when he leads his team to the playoffs, but when his best friend accidentally matches with Emerson, it’s like a dagger to his heart. He knows she deserves happiness after his betrayal broke their family apart, but watching her move on is proving harder than winning the Super Bowl.

I also liked Elyse from the beginning. She was driven but she was also the quiet twin. I actually don't usually like these kinds of characters, but there was something different about her. She was full of life and her little quirks were funny. I liked her overactive imagination, she was just so relatable. It was sweet how she went out of her way to get to know Asher and how she became his friend first. Their romance was sweet. Elyse had to learn to step out in faith and not just settle.

As long as the feelings stay as fake as the show we’re putting on, there shouldn’t be a problem. Right? Judy Corry has a distinctive way of writing and can make cute moments even in the most crappy stories .. like this one .. while I couldn't stand Vincent and Emerson, there were some good moments through out the bookNow how did I come to have two brothers who were both seniors but not twins, despite the fact that they shared the same dirty-blond hair and aqua-blue eyes?
