The Vango Odyssey Airbeam 800 Inflatable Tent is a modified version of this tent that comfortably fits 8 people. The Outdoor Revolution Skyfall Double 150 SIM is no exception to this experience and offers an immense 15cm of pure cushioned comfort for your nighttime napping. In terms of dimensions and operation, the Dreamcatcher is pretty standard in most areas. However, the inflated size is a little restricted compared to the more expensive Vango and Berghaus options – the length is 195cm (just under 6ft5) and so we would recommend either of those two over the Outwell if you’re lanky like me.
If you’ve made it this far, it should be clear just how impressed we were with this Vango airbeam tent… it’s hard to imagine any other tent stealing our hearts as much as this one did. Beyond that, this tent is an excellent addition to any campout, whether you’re hoping to go camping with friends during the spring, or you have a family trip planned for sometime in the future. It ran the tables in three categories, and only really came up short in versatility, which is a category where lighter tents dominate anyway. It has vertical side walls to maximize the top-level surface area and this means that you don’t roll off in the night. Pitch the tent, clean the cloth and let it dry. Apply the impregnation agent on the cloth with a plant sprayer or other spray. It is also possible to use a paint roller or brush. The cloth needs to be fully saturated with the impregnation agent. Also treat the inside of the tent. Thoroughly clean any windows with a moist cloth. Do not let the impregnation agent dry on it. Let the tent cloth fully dry. Repeat the treatment if needed. The floor: You have a fully sewn-in and sealed waterproof PE groundsheet. This is a very robust and hard-wearing fabric to stand up to the rigours of the most active campers. So you have full protection from bugs and from groundwater. Both camping mats and camping SIMs can also be used on top of a camp bed or ‘cot’ (as the Americans say) for more of a bed-like experience. This also helps stop the heat escape problem which lying on the ground can incur. While the tent does lose some structural integrity from the absence of tent poles, it also means there is no chance the poles themselves will puncture the tent fabric if something heavy falls on the tent.
Several of the models we reviewed featured both spacious interiors and excellent floors, meaning you could sleep soundly without interference from a cold or rugged ground underneath your tent, and without cramming yourself in alongside your fellow campers.Cable entry port is on the side, you can see its position on the picture with the floor plan given above.
