About this deal

There is some noticeable field curvature but I was fairly happy with the images, even with some captured wide open at f/1.4.

There’s fairly little color fringing in the f/1.4-2.8 sector of the aperture range, even less at f/4 and it becomes minimal at f/5.6 and narrower apertures. lakhon - totally agree with you re. Canon EOS M bodies. Of course M6 II should have gotten EFCS. And M50 should have received a real "Mk. II worthy" update. M200 is simply priced too high - almost the same as M50 (I) where I live; Otherwise not much wrong with it for a supercompact, entry level crop ILC. I have Tamaron 18-300mm and XC 35mm F2 lenses for my FUJIFILM X-S 10. XC 35mm f2 or SIGMA 30mm 1.4 which lense produce overall image quality?. is it wothy to replace sigma 30mm 1.4 with XC 35mm F2? also what about viltrox 23mm f1.4?I will definitely be using it through the coming wedding season and I will keep my blog updated for any future developments. unhappymeal That's Tory cant! Your entire incom tax assessment is based on 'means'. Your income is more... You pay more! Since 23mm F2 in X100V is pancake lens, just take it out, put in a WR body (a case similar to XF 27mm F2.8), then make it affordable compact kit lens for X-E4. So I've noticed that when stopping down, the aperture blades arent symmetrical. This is on the latest firmware. This was stopped down around 5.6. So both arguments were used, and a lot of times, when in reality you will either have better sharpness with more vigneting, or less vigneting without better sharpness.

Also interesting to note is just how much and how fast the Viltrox sharpness falls off. Look at the edges of the logs compared to the Fuji. As for the sun stars results, the shot taken at f8 produces much softer and less rounded results. On the other hand, it looks sharper at f16 and more detailed than f8. LEFT: Fuji X-E4 . Sigma 30mmF1.4 @30mm . f/16 . 1/500″ . ISO 320 . Classic Neg Sharpness, for example, is great. The 23mm f1.4 XF lens is sharp in the center at wide open aperture with the corners being a bit softer. As you stop down, the entire image sharpens up nicely. I say if you want the sharpest results, you should probably be around f5.6 to f8. It’s actually also where I like to shoot a 35mm (or 35mm equivalent) in general. With that said, you can pretty much shoot this lens at whatever aperture you like, and still get great results. For instance, some are probably considering this lens for its f1.4 aperture, and you can definitely use it.Matthew Richards is a photographer and journalist who has spent years using and reviewing all manner of photo gear.
