About this deal

When She Unravels is written by Gabrielle Sands. It is a mafia dark romance book and is a very well-done book with lots of twists and turns. It’s the first in the Fallen series. It has gray-morally main characters of both genders, an instant obsession love, and the main female character grows in strength over the course of the story. The first book in The Fallen series. This book tells the story of Damiano De Rossi and Valentina Garzolo Conte. the author ate and left no crumbs . I find it hard to believe this was her first mafia romance because she aced it . The world building was AMAZING : simple , straight to the point , no fluff .the WRITING got me hooked from start to finish . I COULDN'T put the book down .

The beginning didn’t linger for long and I absolutely loved that we saw Vale make her own way before meeting up with Dem. I felt so many emotions for her when she was on her own, penniless and terrified of what to do next. the hero never refers to himself as a monster. He never tries to tell us what a bad man he is. What a breath of fresh air When She Unravels is a dark mafia romance that I thought was okay, but the potential is there, especially with the characters, our heroine, who I wish was much more developed. What you did feels violent, but it wasn’t. By its nature, violence is peak selfishness. What you did wasn’t that. You acted with the goal of defending a friend.” the hero’s 1st pov isn’t a complete simp fest. He’s intrigued by the heroine but not creating wedding mood boards quite yet.

we start with the heroine’s POV - this is so rare these days but really sets up the book to have a little tension. When she ran after what she did to save herself and a girl who would of been the next victim - I somehow knew that wherever she ended up it would be connected to why the girl was kidnapped in the first place and I was right. Liked the characters, a couple decent 🔥 scenes, overarching plot and existing character development! Hero relatively J/P 🥰 I didn't know what to expect before reading this book - I had never read anything by Gabrielle beforehand but I knew after reading the premise that when the oppurtunity came up to receive this ARC that I wanted to get my hands on it and surely enough I got the chance.

It started promising & them just fell flat :/ I was gonna dnf but then wanted to know how this wrapped up so I skimmed it but this was meh imo :/ I really hated that the heroine had to kill her tormentor at the end. This poor girl had already done so much killing, I wanted her to be spared that nightmare. I really wanted the hero to come through for her here. Womp-womp I loved the story overall. The plot was intriguing and kept me wanting to read more and more and get to the end to see how it all unfolds. Damiano has mad it on my top book boyfriend list’s and one of my favourite mafia men. He is a sexy, demanding, and protective mafia boss with such a kind side. Especially with his sister. I loved the “happy sigh he let out when I laid my head on his sleeping chest” scene. No stop. Where is my mafia capo? 😂 This is honestly a underrated story and needs more attention. Cannot wait for the next one and all future.

Valentina is feisty and catches Damiano’s attention in his nightclub in Ibiza. The chemistry between the two is sooo good. I've been raised to be the perfect mafia wife, but when my marriage turns into a horrific nightmare, I have no choice but to leave everything behind and start a new life. Es un romance oscuro de mafia con un ritmo bastante rápido y con el tropo de amor instantáneo (de los que menos me gustan). and this hero was completely useless. For a man who wants to head the “clan” (aka: mafia) he was wildly inept. He had one job, to keep the 2 women in his life safe, and he failed several times. The MCs had great chemistry and I enjoyed their interactions. This is definitely instalove/instalust. There is also technically cheating in this book since Valentina is still married when her and Damiano get together but I don't consider it cheating since her marriage was never a marriage. Her husband is a psychopath who really needed to get major help.

i wanted a mafia romance, so i enjoyed this book! i really we enjoy vale as the main female character. she was strong and badass. i loved that we got to see her growth, and more specifically her revenge! i enjoyed damiano as well, and i felt like the two of them had really great chemistry. the main reason i didn’t rate this higher, was because the relationship was very instalove and i really just don’t enjoy that. also, i didn’t really like the spice was very exceptional on my opinion. 🤷🏻‍♀️there are more books to come in the series, so i’m excited to read those! The h is practically a virgin, she’d only had sex with her husband once in their two months of marriage. She is technically still married to the original guy through nearly the entire book though it definitely doesn’t feel like cheating. no cheating or sharing between MCs (the h is married when she becomes intimate with the H, so she does cheat on her monster of a husband) this book was really intent on rah-rah-rah Girl Power… but it felt lopsided. The hero never got a chance to shine. He was emasculated at all times. He bowed to her on everything and wasn’t even capable of the stuff that was in his hands. I expect a little more intensity of personality with a mafia hero. He was pretty beta. Valentina is a mafia princess on the run from her abusive husband and mafia family, when she runs into our Hero Damiano’s territory. She thinks he is a very protective business man. Both are keeping some secrets and when they get out..🥵No one else in the band really cared to do it, but for me, it wasn’t a choice. I just had crap that needed to come out, and when the seed of an idea made its way into my mind, it wouldn’t get the hell out until I planted it into existence.”

She‘s stunning! Ale is so strong and caring about the people she love. She suffered so much and was able to leave her family and old life behind. She deserves the world. I’ve read a lot of mafia books and this is the first time I’ve seen the famiglia referred to as “the clan” quite a weird to refer to the mob as a clan :/ I’d expect that maybe in a Scottish werewolf series? Maybe it’s just me, but I found it weird. He’s the most powerful man in Ibiza, and he’ll do anything to make me his. I’ve been raised to be the perfect mafia wife , but when my marriage turns into a horrific nightmare, I have no choice but to leave everything behind and start a new life. I really liked that she wasn't a princess princess. She stays in a hostel gets a job as a cleaner and never complains about it despite being brought up as a mafia princess. It was so refreshing. (There is no stereotypical shopping trip, fancy restaurants, private plane trips away etc.) The twists and unknown danger was written well, as was the crazy sexual tension and the off the charts steamy scenes.Everything was so well balanced. Alsooo the ins and outs of the mafia world were soo in depth like , Gabrielle are you in the Mafia 😅😅😅??? The party goes all night and all morning here.” Sounds like I’m about to become a creature of the night. It could be a good thing. After all, in the dark there are more places to hide.” The book was ok but it dragged.... Val rescues a women from her husband's clutches. She then leaves to run away to an island in Spain. Just when she thinks she is free and clear of the mafia she meets. Damiano. It's definitely a small work when Dams sister and Val see each other again.
