Therefore, If you also do a lot of DJ gigging and produce bass-heavy music, the DT 770 Pro 80 might be a good studio headphone for you. Therefore, if you like the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 250, you might also like the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80 ohm and the Audio-Technica ATH-M50x studio headphones.

Beyerdynamic 250 Ohms DT770 Pro Headphones - Andertons Music Co.

Personally, I think the sound signature of the 880s is so different from the Amirons and the 770s that I would hesitate to compare them. However, I am sure that some people would identify some traits in the sound of the 770s and 880s as being similar and that the Amirons are the more different headphone of the three, but I am describing my subjective experience here and am not trying to be objective. By any measure, the 770 Pro 80s are very comfortable, good sounding headphones that represent very decent value for money. The 770 Pro 250 ohm has transducers fitted to adjustable yokes which gives the ability to better position the headphone to fully enclose the ear. As a result, this will provide the optimum listening experience for accurate sound monitoring. Impressive Frequency Response The PRO models (DT 770 PRO, DT 880 PRO, DT 990 PRO) are designed for professional applications, e.g. in the recording studio. The Edition models are suitable for use at home on the stereo system.

On top of that the comfort and the overall mechanical design was increased and a removable XLR cable was added that can be swapped out depending on what you’re doing. +Which ist the best headphone for mixing and mastering? They have a great sub bass, deep. A very nice treble extension, the bass and treble are escalated quite a bit, a lot actually. But this will not distract you from the mids. The DT 770 Pro 250 has perfect balance and detail which makes it superb for critical listening situations. While the M50x headphone has its thumping bass and punchy higher frequencies. The Beyerdynamic Pro 250 ohm has an impressive 5Hz-35kHz frequency response with 250-ohm impedance. This allows you to hear more clearly to perform your best during your listening session.

Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro Studio Monitor Headphones | GAK

The DT 770 250 ohm is better for mixing, mastering, reference, and critical listening situations. It has a better soundstage, more detail and more clarity for the studio environment. The DT 80 ohm might be better for a casual and studio environment. I researched the product a lot to make the right decision and decided to buy it. I'm extremely happy now. Regardless, I went with 80 ohm ones and these headphones are kind of a benchmark for every day use headphones for me. Now, I am no audiophile, but I can tell a good pair of cans from bad ones - and these ones do justice on all fronts.

Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 250 Ohm Studio Headphone Review Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 250 Ohm Studio Headphone Review

Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80 are closed studio headphones like their cousin the DT 770 Pro 250. With an impedance of 80 ohms, the DT 770 80 provides similar professional-quality sound for critical listening applications. I've been looking for a set of studio cans for a while, and have always heard amazing things about the 770s, 880s, and 990s. Initially I was having a hard time figuring out which one of those would be best for me. I wanted a pair of headphones that I could simultaneously record with (meaning, with minimal spill), and that I could mix and master with. Realizing that the cinema presented a new opportunity in communication media, Beyer decided to produce loudspeakers for film palaces in 1924. By the end of the 1930s, Beyer was able to develop the first pair of dynamic headphones. The DT 770 studio headphone is designed to deliver accurate sound. It does all this while giving you a very comfortable fit for long music production sessions. Who Is Beyerdynamic?

Cons Of The Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 250

There's only one Con, the curly cable, if you sit stationary in your mix position you're fine. But if you move a lot to access different gear, any head movement more than 30cm, will reposition the cable & it's weight strain. Do that all day, & you'll get tired & annoyed by that cable. So sit still haha and try to have the cable rest on something like your desktop/table when mixing/mastering. Letting the cable hang full weight on the headphone will cause fatigue during long sessions, but is inevitable in the vocal booth where one usually stands upright.
