I’ve never tried gin but keep meaning too due to the low calorie content so I was over the moon when I received a complimentary bottle. Our classic London Dry Gin married with a vibrant, naturally refreshing fruit infusion, capturing the taste of freshly squeezed Mediterranean lemons. It works well in nearly all applications and a bartender can pour it indiscriminately into any cocktail and have classic-style gin juniper and citrus character come through. Some were so sweet they were almost a liqueur, while others had just a hint of citrus and remained heavy on the juniper.

Served ‘on-the-rocks’, Bombay Sapphire is stirred with MARTINI Extra Dry Vermouth and home-made rosemary sugar syrup. We use fresh local ingredients in this cocktail which combines Bombay Sapphire with the rich earthy flavours of carrot with uplifting citrusy coriander and sweet honey, then lengthened with Fever-Tree Soda Water.Sustainably-sourced Murcian Fino lemons, mandarins and sweet Navel oranges of exceptional quality are hand-picked and hand-peeled from the late harvest, when their aromas and flavours are most intense.

Bombay Dry Gin, similar to its more famous sister Bombay Sapphire, is distilled from a base of grain and imparts the botanicals through vapor infusion. It has no added sugar and uses hand-picked Mediterranean lemons for a fresh, zesty finish with just a subtle touch of sweetness. This sublimely delicious, tantalizing and effervescent gin and tonic twist incorporates Bombay Sapphire, Fever-Tree lemon tonic water, and a gently squeezed wedge of fresh lemon. Bombay Sapphire marries perfectly with MARTINI Rosato, Bottlegreen elderflower cordial, lime wedges, then topped up with Fever-Tree ginger ale. The new offering will be available to purchase online and from most major retailers in the UK from Monday 18 April onwards.

Fever-Tree ginger beer is brought in line with a dash of Angostura bitters, some fresh fragrant lime and Bombay Sapphire. A Pandora’s box of exotic botanical flavours – Bombay Sapphire is shaken with warming homemade chai tea syrup and orange juice, then harmoniously balanced with MARTINI Extra Dry. As an aside it nudged me towards that 2 parts 1/2 part dry vermouth vodka martini as well (with Finlandia rediscovered). I am incredibly proud of the meticulous processes used to produce Bombay Sapphire Premier Cru from the skilled sourcing and preparation of botanicals to my role in carefully adapting every small batch of gin to bring out the nuances of the late harvest during distillation, amplifying the unique characteristics and finest flavours into a consistent flavour profile every year. A complex amalgamation of Bombay Sapphire, pineapple and freshly squeezed lemon juice are shaken really well with peach liqueur and fresh tarragon leaves to provide just a hint of anise to this botanical-rich cocktail with real longevity of flavour. The blue-bottle is nice, but to sit down with a glass of gin (up or rocks), Bombay Dry has no comparables.
