About this deal
The Hori Force Feedback Racing Wheel DLX is a solid choice for Xbox gamers who want an occasional use wheel.
There are a few downsides to these generally great wheel sets, and it’s all about the parts outside of the wheelbase. Premium build featuring aluminum paddle shifters, hand-stitched leather wheel, and pressure-sensitive brake system. Like its PS4 counterpart, the Hori Overdrive is a good budget alternative for those who prefer arcade racing. If you want to go all-out, a top-grade racing wheel setup can make racers like Gran Turismo 7 and F1 23 feel particularly immersive.
It also has very limited rotation compared with all the other wheels here, turning just 270 degrees rather than 900 or 1080. This is what Hori was aiming for, though – it's a maker of arcade gear, and this is clearly an arcade wheel. Logitech’s exemplifies the beauty of well-engineered force feedback, as immersive driving simulation comes to life in the details.
G29 —wheel, pedals and shifter—mount perfectly in Playseat® racing simulation cockpits for added realism. It goes so stiff, in fact, that to really get the most out of the CSL Elite you want a frame into which you screw the pedals. Extensive testing and collaboration, with pros and enthusiasts worldwide, is what led the Logitech G team to this exact layout.Set-up is also fairly easy by-way-of power adapter and USB cable, while button placements and macros are customizable through Logitech’s GHub application to a respectable degree. The Driving Force Racing Wheel also features a long lasting, reliable hall-effect steering sensor, using magnetic fields to sense the position of the wheel. However, the G923 has Logitech's helical gearing system under the hood, which does not provide as smooth a feel as the Thrustmaster T300 RS. The Thrustmaster T300 RS and TX listed above are the ‘default’ enthusiast racing wheels from Thrustmaster, and they’re some of the best around.
