About this deal

Track titles are fully lowercase on lyrics sheet insert, whereas they appear fully uppercase on the 2013 US Third Worlds/Harvest black censorship sleeve pressing. Comprised of various labels we know and love at Rough Trade (Bella Union, ATO, Speedy Wunderground, Phantasy, Heavenly, Mute and more) PIAS [Recordings] filter through some of the most diverse artistry to our racks, which we greatly enjoy digging into.

I suspect it could get worse with time so if you have a sealed copy you might want to check and think about a solution. Copies pressed in 2020 feature a transparent sticker with 'MADE IN CANADA' printed in black on the back of the outer black cover. To promote No Love Deep Web the group created an alternate reality game (ARG) which ran from August 12–16, 2012, beginning minutes after their release of a statement about the album through Pitchfork. In a separate interview with Pitchfork, Hill expounded, "It's also a spiritual thing; it's fearlessness. No Love Deep Web has the same sonic appeal that originally drew me into Exmilitary and I find myself enjoying it a lot.

It didn't matter how great the beat, the the break down, no, the spotlight was always shining on Ride.

Death Grips - No Love Deep Web - (Vinyl LP) | Rough Trade

I took mine out of the sleeve earlier this year and noticed that it had left black marks all over the front cover of the album. The reissued vinyl includes an alternate, never-before-seen cover, featuring a shirtless MC Ride standing on the edge of a balcony, giving the middle finger with both hands, while holding a cigarette in one of them. So this comes out overnight, everyone flips their shit over the cover art (IT'S ART, PLEBS) and now whether you follow the group on Twitter or just occasionally passing through music blogs it is near impossible to avoid seeing this release everywhere. The song "Artificial Death in the West" features an audio sample from the song "Being Sucked in Again" by English post-punk band Wire from their 1978 album Chairs Missing. I'm not stupefied by it, though the hype seems to have everyone feeling either extremely satisfied or disappointed. Construction of the cover is slightly different, with a slightly thicker, 'squared-off' build noticeable on the top and bottom edges, whereas the 2013 US Third Worlds/Harvest black censorship sleeve pressing has a slightly thinner, 'rounded-off' build.
