About this deal

The mission consists of three identical satellites named Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie (A, B and C); which were launched on 22 November 2013 into a near-polar orbit. Peake and Cole have managed to pack them full of adventure and imagination, and I wish I’d read them with the wide-eyed fascination of a child. Having determined that humans are destroying the planet, the Swarm has decided that the only way to save Earth and all other life on it is to upload humanity to the hive mind (which for Star Trek fans, may make the Swarm seem like distant cousins to the Borg Collective). Naturally, chaos ensues, and the race to save the world includes superpowers related to quantum physics, aliens trying to understand the concept of individualism, and the protagonists travelling across space as digital intelligences transmitted via radiowaves. He attempts a rescue mission but falls into multiple traps along the way and ends up being rescued himself by Swarm agents, including a newly programmed Adi.

In 1974, scientists sent an interstellar message from Arecibo, Puerto Rico to a star system 25,000 light years away.Adi is part of a super-advanced hive mind, the Swarm, which intends to protect the Earth from the environmental catastrophe caused by the human race. This exhilarating futuristic adventure, the first in a trilogy, is a fast-paced, thrilling read, perfect for gamers and sci-fi fans. Peake and Cole are often too overt with these for my taste, but they are incorporated well into the plotline.

Adi - Alien Digital Intelligence in the form of a girl - can bend the laws of physics and control digital data, but as a digital being she wants to know what it's like to be human. Unfortunately, the information comes in huge chunks that somewhat interrupt the flow of the narrative, and because the books are written entirely in the first person, the authors often try and explain it through conversations that are some of the most stilted I’ve ever read, despite it being aimed at children.

A surge through Danny's computer messes his tablet screen, but he saves the unusual message he sees. Major Timothy Nigel "Tim" Peake CMG (born 7 April 1972) is a British Army Air Corps officer, European Space Agency astronaut and a former International Space Station (ISS) crew member. The book also examines the surprising, shocking and often poignant stories of astronauts back on Earth, whose lives are forever changed as they readjust to terra firma.

Energy spectra and bubble velocity distributions in pseudo-turbulence: numerical simulations versus experiments. Large-eddy simulation of gas–liquid two-phase flow in a bubble column reactor using a modified sub-grid scale model with the consideration of bubble-eddy interaction. We had such a great time writing Swarm Rising together –mostly over lockdown in 2020 – we wrote a sequel –Swarm Enemy.
