About this deal

His explanations for why those practices and classic meditation techniques work are largely useless and oversimplified. Me leí este libro hace unos meses, cuando corté con mi ex pareja y me ayudó a procesar la ruptura y a día de hoy lo tengo superado completamente y en parte es gracias a este libro y a las lecciones que he aprendido leyéndolo. Created by an internationally renowned psychologist and psychotherapist specializing in stress and time management, this innovative technique offers a working solution to everyday problems, including relationship difficulties, job interviews and other professional challenges, competitive sports, conflict situations, and even coping with pain, illness, and death. TL;DR 'Complete' painful experiences by reliving them until they are not triggering pain points anymore.

John Purkiss studied economics at Cambridge University and has an MBA from INSEAD, where he was awarded the Henry Ford II Prize. He seems to be largely into a very spiritual and traditional hinduism Vedic practice and transcendental meditation.moreover, it is an ultimate topic of philosophy, but if we suggest that there is no “higher power”, what is it that guide us through life? If you are tired of churning away trying to make a big life change or to solve your problems, only to find the same situations endlessly repeating, this is the book for you. Altogether I consider it to be a very basic, quite esoteric book without scientific background (and there is a huge host of scientific studies nowadays showing AND explaining the benefits of meditation - the latter done by neuroscientists). Everything flows, because you are no longer attached to things being a certain way, to being a certain person or always being right.

That’s why practicing gratitude is the antidote to the sadness and anxiety you feel when you’re learning how to let go of someone . John has travelled widely and explored several traditions, including Advaita Vedanta, Buddhism, Kabbalah and Sufism. Talks about mindfulness meditation and how that is effective in being present which ultimately leads to being able to let go of worries about the future or regrets about the past. This was a fast easy read and is a positive way to frame up opportunity for us be happier and more successful taking away stuff that detracts from where we are going.I felt like this was a Cliff notes version of many types of self-help with a heavy emphasis on Transcendental Meditation. maybe because i have absolutely different experience, worldview and mental structure, not to mention i do not believe in an “ultimate force” or whatever.

Look at this person from the same place of compassion and empathy that you did when you were happy together. pain patterns or incompletions are based on suppressed emotions which can rule our lives for decades.I think it will be one that I hold onto and keep practicing the exercises to continue a process that is so much healthier and healing. However, after some time has passed, you start to see that it’s unhealthy for you, and you’re not sure how to let go of someone you love and move on with your life. This book is full of not just tips and pointers but the actual materials and directions you need to achieve the goal of surrendering.
