Ive had it on for about two hours and unless i jam my wrist into my nose, I can't smell it any more. Now that I have been wearing this for a while, combined with its lotion and on its own as well, I have to say, this fragrance is far more nuanced than I initially thought. I finally received this in the mail today, and I sprayed it on my arm this morning to test, and I love it, it's wonderful, but it has been bothering me all day: this smells familiar. I must say I will leave this one for summer and as we have just come into winter don't think the cooler weather does this perfume justice.

Some people say they don't get any florals from this but I can definitely tell there is some apple blossom and honeysuckle in this. Yes it’s nothing groundbreaking, it reminds me of the beach and ice cream vans at the side of the road, but it’s great if you want to smell just like that. The sweetness is very much toned down by this point and the base notes come out to play: lovely rich woods, peppery vetiver and smooth amber - all blending seemlessly into a very feminine and elegant scent. As usual the weather normally along with the occasion dictates what I might wear on any given day or night. Coconut is a big star in Friction but it comfortably shares the stage with sugared vanilla and candy-esque florals.

Which thankfully dissipates quite rapidly and quickly matures after an hour or so into a MATURE fragrance. This affordable beauty is such an “easy-breezy-beautiful” beach fragrance, the fruits in the opening blend into a creamy coconut to create an almost pina colada-esque scent. On my skin this opens with the honey suckle and apple blossom with the coconut lurking in the background definitely making its presence known, as the scent evolves the Coconut comes out in full force playing with the Vanilla and spun sugar with the apple blossom playing in the background and the cherry peeking through.

Think it would probably be more suited to a younger lady than me (I'm in my forties) as is very sweet, definitely a day time spray, not too in your face. I was clearly not impressed by the perfume, but it dawned on me that it's the PERFECT vacation perfume. Like a finely milled coconut soap bar, though I will say - you really need to be a coconut and vanilla fan to like this.I'm really getting the honeysuckle and coconut scent straight up and then hour later comes the toasted coconut onto of marshmallows. On my skin the transformation takes about an hour, and I feel like I'd like to get to that point straight out of the bottle.

With its intoxicating blend of rich, woody and floral notes, it's an irresistible choice for any occasion. However, it was a good deal, €18 for 100 ml EdP, so I will either use it or just give it away as a gift. I can spray this all over - lasting power is ok, but you do have to spray quite a bit - almost like a body spray.

The initial smell i get is peaches and cream but after the dry down i get the soft coconut/pina colada undertones. This perfume doesn't last very long at all, maybe 2-3 hours at most, which is a shame and it's the main thing that lets it down for me.
