He has a great understanding and I think love for the Tolkien stories that comes through in this magnificent performance! It explains how the narrative follows on from The Hobbit, in which the Hobbit Bilbo Baggins finds the One Ring, which had been in the possession of Gollum.Knowing the Black Riders will attempt to seize the Ring, Strider guides the group toward the Elvish sanctuary of Rivendell. VII - In the House of Tom Bombadil - Tom knows much about the hobbits, and even tries on the Ring, yet it does not have any effect on him - it doesn't even make him invisible.
The work is divided internally into six books, two per volume, with several appendices of background material. After a failed attempt to cross the Misty Mountains, the Fellowship risk the path through the Mines of Moria. There, Boromir tries to take the Ring from Frodo, but immediately regrets it after Frodo puts on the Ring and disappears. Gandalf informs Frodo that the Black Riders are the Nazgûl, Men from ancient times enslaved by Rings of Power to serve Sauron. Eventually, they meet the Elf Glorfindel from Rivendell, who allows Frodo to take his white horse Asfaloth to escape the Ringwraiths on their way to Rivendell.
